Family businesses have high flexibility in transitioning to sustainability, but may face obstacles in the transformation process without the support of other management or family members, as well as affordable and easy-to-implement solutions. Speaking at a seminar recently, Eric Lim, UOB's Chief Sustainability Officer suggested that family businesses must translate their sustainable development strategies into clear and concrete actions and start-off in a gradual and phased manner. The seminar was organised in conjunction with UOB Private Bank’s Next Gen Programme in partnership with the SMU Business Families Institute.
