In a keynote address at a conference organised by the SMU Business Families Institute on Sept 16, Saker Nusseibeh, CEO of the international business of US investment manager Federated Hermes noted the importance of investing in sustainability even if one is not a believer. As society gears up to fight global warming, savvy investors should look at riding consumer trends like renewable energy and electric vehicle, he added. He also stressed and highlighted the threat of climate change to the generational wealth of family businesses.
