According to SMU Vice President, Business Development and Business Families Institute Academic Director Professor Annie Koh, incoming leaders need to show the current management that they can be trusted to do the job as well as prove to employees that they have the experience, competency and credibility to take over the company. She added that traditional family businesses need to have the right mindsets and skillsets to be able to embrace technology and change.
