BFI@SMU Frontiers in Alternative Investments

[Programme code: P220121FNJ]

Synopsis

Designed for experienced RMs and financial advisers to develop an in-depth understanding of recent developments in alternative assets, an increasingly important part of UHNW portfolios in the context of a persistent low interest rate environment. Through the workshop, participants will learn about the latest trends in traditional alternative investments—venture capital, private equity, and hedge funds—as well as emerging alternatives such as catastrophe bonds, collectibles, cryptocurrencies and tokenized assets, income-sharing agreements, litigation finance, and more. The participants will develop and apply their knowledge in due diligence exercises, preparing them to evaluate the latest opportunities in alternative investments for a range of potential client portfolio applications.
